What It's Like to Work at Atlas
Working at a pet store is about more than just being around animals. There are lots of different things to do throughout the day.
You might be:
• Helping a customer choose food for their dog or cat
• Stocking shelves and putting away new merchandise
• Caring for the animals in the store
• Cleaning habitats and aquariums
• Answering questions about pet products
• Keeping the store clean and organized
• Helping customers at the register
• Helping with our self-serve dog wash
It's a varied job, and there's always something new to learn.
What We're Looking For
You don't need to know everything about pets when you start. We'll help you learn.
We're looking for people who are:
• Friendly and helpful
• Dependable
• Comfortable talking with customers
• Willing to learn
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
• Good team players
• Responsible when caring for animals
• Ready to pitch in wherever they're needed
Retail or pet experience is helpful, but it's not required for every position.
Learn Something New Every Day
One of the fun things about working at Atlas is that there's always something new to learn.
Our stores carry products for dogs, cats, fish, small animals, reptiles, birds, and more, so our team gets to learn about lots of different pets and the products that help care for them.
The goal isn't to know everything on your first day. It's to keep learning so you can become a helpful resource for our customers.
